Product Review: Clear Nose Gel Hut Mun Nose Pack

One of my skin issues are these pesky blackheads and whiteheads on my nose. I'm always on the lookout for products that would address this concern as it is a bit troublesome at times. I tired every nose strips and nose packs that I came to know until just recently, one of my favorite Youtuber recommended Clear Nose Gel Hut Mun.

Clear Nose Gel Hut Mun is a product from Thailand (English translation on the package is not available though.) which apparently can be used not only for your nose but also in some other problematic areas around your face such as your cheeks and forehead.

HOW I USED IT:
  • To open up my pores, I place a warm towel on my already cleansed face for about a minute or two.
  •  For hygienic purposes, I used a Q-tip to take out the product from its bottle and spread it on my nose area.
  • I cut the papers which are included in this kit in halves so that I can easily arrange it to fit my nose. I stick it onto my nose right after I applied the product.
  • Once the whole thing dried up, I remove the strips in an upward motion so that it can easily lift all the disgusting matter on my nose.
  • I wipe my nose with a clean towel so as to clean the area and to close the pores.
  • Finally, I would apply a little bit of moisturizer to avoid skin irritation.

The product smells like paste but the consistency is very runny thus, expect a messy application. I feel a cooling sensation after I applied it and there's also a little bit of sting but it's tolerable. The good thing about this product is that it's really effective in unclogging your pores as it lifts away the dirt and grime on your nose. Although you still need to use a comedone extractor so you can remove some stubborn blackheads. As I mentioned above, as this product can also be used in other parts of your face, please make sure you do a patch test first to avoid unnecessary irritations.

Clear Nose Gel Hut Mun is mostly available on online beauty stores but I got mine through Lazada. How about you? What products have you tried lately? Share your experience on the comment box below.

Product Review: Safeguard Derma Sense Face & Body Bar for Acne Prone Skin

Hello everyone! I know... I know, it's been a while since you last heard from me. I guess I've just been very busy that I can't even visit my own blog! Things get so rough these past couple of weeks plus I was down with flu which really sucks. Anyway, today I have another product review for you my lovely readers. This is long overdue but I still would like to share with you my experience in using Safeguard Derma Sense Face & Body Bar for Acne Prone Skin.

Safeguard Philippines introduced the Derma Sense line which consists of Derma Sense for Sensitive Skin and Derma Sense for Acne Prone Skin. Both are available in Face and Body Bar, Facial Cleanser, and Body Wash. These products has been released in the market for quite some time now but I only got the chance to try one of it recently as this is part of my Lazada PH Haul which you can read here

Safeguard Derma Sense Face & Body Bar for Acne Prone Skin claims to do the following:
  • Helps provide noticeable acne reduction
  • Helps remove acne-causing germs and excess oil
  • Helps recover clear skin with regular use

HOW TO USE:
  • Wet face & body
  • Work up lather with hands or washcloth and spread evenly over face and body
  • Rinse thoroughly
  • Gently pat with a clean towel

I guess because of sleepless nights and of my hormones acting up, a humongous pimple decided to pop out on my right cheek which was really annoying but then again, it came at the right time so I've got the chance to put this product to test.

About a few days after using this soap, it actually did make my pimple appear smaller and with continuous use, it eventually dried up. Not only that, acne sufferers like me also has an issue with pimples popping out on our neck, chest, and back area but as I also use this soap on my body, I feel that the bumps are lesser than before.

The scent of the soap reminds me of Safeguard's "Guava" variant which I find very pleasant and as with all other Safeguard soaps, Derma Sense for Acne Prone Skin is dermatologically tested. Thus, we are sure enough that it wouldn't cause any harm on our skin. In fact, it didn't dry out my skin despite of it being an anti-bacterial soap which is a good thing.

Over all, I would recommend this product to those who suffer with acne problems. It is not only effective in fighting the root cause of acne, it is also very much affordable. The whole family will definitely benefit from it. I got mine from Lazada PH for only Php 79.00 for a 135g face and body bar and is also available in all leading drugstores, department stores, and supermarkets nationwide.

If you would like to know more about Safeguard and all their other products, like Safeguard Philippines on Facebook or visit their website.

7 Day Sheet Mask Challenge

Do you ever wonder how on earth do our favorite Korean actors or idols keep their skin looking young and fresh? Well from what I gathered, they follow the ten step skin care regimen which involves twice the skin cleansing, exfoliation, skin conditioning or toning, essence, serum or ampoule as a skin booster, mask sheets, eye cream, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Yup, there’s a lot of work right there but then again as cliché as it may sound, “no pain, no gain”.

Moreover, the thing that amazed me the most is the Koreans’ love for mask sheets. When you go to a Korean cosmetics store here in the Philippines, you’ll be overwhelmed with the variety of mask sheets that they sell. There’s always a corresponding mask sheet for every part of your body and in case you find yourself wanting to go to Korea, they even sell it at 10 x 10. Meaning, if you’ll buy 10 pieces of mask sheets, you’ll get another 10 pieces for free. How cool was that?

What make mask sheets so popular is because it offers solution to different kinds of skin problems that a particular person may have. It is packed with vitamins and skin boosters that aid in moisturizing, nourishing, whitening, and a lot more.

This is the reason as to why I decided to try it out for myself and created a 7 Day Mask Sheet Challenge. Everyday within the next seven days, I would have to incorporate the mask sheet application in my skin care regimen and see what it will do to my skin afterwards. I started 27th of July and ended 2nd of August. I recorded my progress and will tell you how it goes. The mask sheets that I used are from my Lazada Haul. You can check out my blog post about it here.

Day 1 – Ekel Snail Ultra Hydrating Essence Mask

This mask is infused with snail mucin which is supposed to be good for skin hydration and repair. You have to leave it on for about 20 to 30 minutes then massage the remaining serum on to your face and neck later on.
The mask sheet is thick and fits perfectly on my face. There’s a light herb-y scent to it which is okay. The serum is quite thick to the point that it feels slimy (what do I expect? it is snail mucin!) but is easily absorbed by the skin. After using it, my skin is brighter, softer, and feels more hydrated.

Day 2 - Wizyoung Amethyst Collagen Mask

Who would have known that amethyst is also good for the skin? Well, I know that there is also a gold sheet mask, so amethyst? Why not? This mask has a light floral scent to it and as with all other Wizyoung sheet masks that I've tried, it also fits perfectly on my face. I felt a bit of stinging sensation while I have I have it on my face for 15 - 20 minutes but it is tolerable and I guess that is also one way of telling that the serum in the mask sheet is working its way into the pores of my skin.

Day 3 - Wizyoung Bamboo Collagen Mask

Bamboo extract is said to be beneficial for skin elasticity so I tried this mask sheet. It has a light herb-y scent to it which is pleasant. My skin looks brighter after applying it.

Day 4 - Wizyoung Laminaria Collagen Mask

On the fourth day, I woke up with a couple of breakouts on my forehead, cheeks, and chin so I decided to use this Laminaria Collagen sheet mask. Laminaria or seaweed is said to be great for moisturizing the skin but the package also indicates that it has soothing properties.

Day 5 - Wizyoung Red Ginseng Collagen Mask

On the fifth day, my skin was noticeably clearer and looks healthier. The bumps that developed the other day was almost gone and to keep it at bay, I used the Red Ginseng Collagen sheet mask. This has a strong ginseng scent to it so if you're not a fan, just opt out on it.

Day 6 - Wizyoug Red Vinegar Collagen Mask

This sheet mask doesn't smell like vinegar at all. It actually has a sweet wine scent so don't worry about it.  Red Vinegar is said to help in clarifying the skin and also acts as a moisturizer.

Day 7 - Wizyoung Dandelion Collagen Mask

On the last day of this challenge, I used the Dandelion Collagen sheet mask. It has a light floral scent to it and is very refreshing on the skin.

In conclusion, incorporating sheet masks on your daily skin care routine will really give you a lot of benefits. It doesn't only help in moisturizing and hydration, it also gives you a brighter and glowing skin. In my case, I noticed that my skin is smoother. The dry patches specially on my cheeks and nose area were gone and there were lesser fine lines on my forehead area.

Product Review: IWhite Korea Aqua Moisturizer Whitening Vita

Good morning my lovely readers! Today, I'll be reviewing another product from IWhite Korea, the Aqua Moisturizer Whitening Vita

I am never a fan of moisturizers before because most of the available moisturizer brands that we have in the Philippines tend to be heavy on my skin that it causes some breakouts and since it's hot and  humid in our country, I would feel oily some time after applying it.

Later on, I realized how important it is to wear a moisturizer and keep my skin hydrated thus, I'm constantly on the look out to find a product that is best suited on my skin type. IWhite Korea's Aqua Moisturizer Whitening Vita piqued my curiosity because of its unique packaging and of course, I immediately bought a couple of it.

Aqua Moisturizer Whitening Vita is a water-based moisturizer that has the following active ingredients:
  • Mulberry Root Extract that contains arbutin which is known for inhibiting the melanin production and helps in achieving a fairer and even toned skin.
  • Panax Ginseng which helps in cell regeneration and collagen production that is needed in reducing wrinkles and fine lines.
  • Green Tea which has anti-bacterial properties that helps in preventing acne.
THUMBS UP

*** Packaging – How can I say no to its cute packaging right? As I've said, I find it unique.

*** Affordability - For a moisturizer with this quality, I'd say it is very affordable. A 50 g. tube is priced at P169.00 while a 6 g. sachet is available for only P20.00.

*** Scent – It has a very light scent to it. People who have a certain sensitivity to strong scents in face products would definitely love this.

*** Consistency - It has a gel like texture which turns into a watery-like substance once applied on the skin.

*** Effectiveness – Well, as far as I'm concern, this product really does its job well. It does give my skin the hydration it needed leaving it soft and smooth. Since it is water-based, I recommend this for people who has combination to oily skin like mine. The formula is very light weight thus, it wouldn't feel sticky or greasy at all. It is very easy to apply and doesn't give me any breakouts. What more can I ask for?

*** Availability - It is available in all leading drugstores, department stores, and supermarkets nationwide.

Yes, YES! I will repurchase this product because I LOVE IT! It truly delivered what it promised to do. How about you? Have you tried any IWhite Korea products recently? Share your experience on the comments section below.

Product Review: IWhite Korea The Original Nose Pack

Hello my lovely readers! I'm back with a product review from another IWhite Korea product, The Original Nose Pack.

Product Description:

This nose pack is a cream type nose pack that conveniently adjust to the shape of your nose, making it easier and more effective in eliminating blackheads and whiteheads. You can use it on oil prone areas like the nose area and the T-zone to minimize the appearance of pores and excess oil for a clear, smooth, and radiant skin.

Contains natural active ingredients and Vitamins A, C, and E that help:
  • Sooth skin while effectively stripping off dirt
  • Tighten pores
  • Improve skin texture

I have a combination type of skin and I am usually prone to blackheads and whiteheads especially on my nose and T-zone area. IWhite Korea's The Original Nose Pack is formulated with the following plant extracts that perfectly work together to effectively remove the deep seated dirt on my clogged pores without being too harsh on my skin:
  • Panax Ginseng Root Extract
  • Mulberry Root Extract
  • Aloe Vera Leaf Extract

HOW TO USE:
  • After washing your face, apply a generous amount of the nose pack solution on the entire nose area.
  • Wait for about 15 minutes or until it completely dries then peel off the pack upward starting from the base.
  • For best results, use 2 to 4 times a week.

THUMBS UP:

Packaging - As with any other IWhite Korea product, the packaging is really cute.

Consistency - It is creamy in form although it reminds me of an Elmer's Glue, it is actually workable thus, you can control the amount of product that you'll use.

Scent - It smells clean and fresh. The scent doesn't irritate my nose.

Affordability - For only Php 18.00, a sachet is good for 2x usage. It is also available on a 50g tube for Php 189.00

Effectiveness - True to its claims, this product didn't disappoint. It really lifts the deep seated dirt on my pores but of course it wouldn't get off your blackheads and whiteheads all at once that's why it is recommended to use it for 2 to 4 times a week.

THUMBS DOWN:

I have a love - hate relationship with its creamy texture because of the messy application whenever I use it.

I always have to make sure that my nose don't get sweaty because the product seems to loosen up when it gets wet and would not be as effective when it is dry.

Will I repurchase it? Maybe, but I would prefer nose patches if those are available so as to save me from the messy application. How about you guys? what is your favorite nose patch or nose pack product? Tell me on the comment section below.

See you soon! :)
